The Test Engineering Development team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Test Equipment Electrical Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

Design, develop, debug and optimize test equipment that supports the engineering development and manufacturing of our navigation, space, and situational awareness products.
Hand-on opportunity that allows you the ability to create and manage the development of high quality test equipment.
Full life-cycle product development from system concept and requirements through design, production, verification, and sell-off.
Apply appropriate requirements, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of electronic design tools (schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation tools).
Ability to perform root cause analysis, testing, troubleshooting, failure investigation and repairs.
Be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, software engineers and integration/test engineers.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to navigate and manipulate files.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, upper management and customers.
Knowledge of various I/O interfaces and serial communications protocols, including Mil-Std 1553, ARINC 429, IEEE 488, RS-422, Ethernet, A/D, D/A and Discrete I/O.
Be responsible to document all aspects of the projects he or she works on.
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks proficiency; CAD solid modeling experience.
Experience with various I/O interfaces, including Mil-Std 1553, ARINC 429, IEEE 488, RS-422, Ethernet, A/D, D/A, Discrete I/O.
Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills.
