Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Space Park, Redondo Beach, California.

Overview: Space Vehicle System Engineer (SVSE) manager to develop and coordinate a cross-functional team of engineers in the development and delivery of space vehicle products. The effort includes space vehicles in assembly and test and new space vehicle development efforts.

JOB DUTIES: Manage a team of engineers in the execution of systems engineering efforts to develop and maintain space vehicle requirements, interface definition, unit environmental test requirements, space vehicle test requirements, lead space vehicle test readiness assessments and test data review, and anomaly resolution, plan and execute verification, and lead space vehicle trades and design reviews. This role is also responsible for the direct management of the space vehicle autonomy and fault management and data systems system engineering and coordination with the space vehicle subsystem engineering, payload engineering, and specialty engineering. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to NG requirements and verification processes by all SV areas. Also responsible for cost account management of multiple cost accounts over multiple CLINs.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 7+ years of engineering experience (5+ with a MS, 3+ with a PhD)

- Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearance and/or active SCI access

- Prior experience as a manager or a team lead

- Academic and/or work experience including a subset of the following disciplines: space vehicle design and analysis, functional analysis of requirements, design/integration and test, trade studies, performance analysis, interface control, and project management.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Previous experience with space vehicle systems.

- Previous management of system engineering teams.

- Analytical problem solver and systems-level thinker.

- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead working groups and technical interchange meetings.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited direction within the scope of an assignment and use independent judgment in determining methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $249,100.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
