Manager, Product Performance €“ Payments Services

Payments Services vision to provide the most secure, reliable and trusted global payment processing service enabling our internal business to clients to successfully accept payments, disburse payments and rapidly launch new payment experiences through a combination of customer facing services as well as a client facing products. The Payments Services Product team manages the highest priority Products and services supporting Amazon€™s businesses worldwide.
The Manager for Product Performance will lead technical operations and product performance for one of the largest payment processing engines in the world. You will manage a team of program managers focused on the most critical payment operations within Payments Services. You will be responsible for developing the team, lead and drive process improvements (short-term wins) as well as process design/ redesign (long-term wins) efforts via program or project management.
This position requires a candidate with considerable proven leadership ability to analyze operations data, facilitate, drive and scale process improvements worldwide.
As Manager, Product Performance, you will:
· Develop and lead a Product Performance team through detailed data analysis, product and technical operations improvements.
· Establish operations goals, continuous improvement goals, scope work plans, and schedules for continuous improvement programs.
· Lead cross-functional teams on their continuous improvement journey by guiding them through an understanding of industry best practices for process improvements (i.e. Lean /Six-Sigma concepts, CI methodology, Kaizen events)
· Identify opportunities for defect reductions, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
· Perform process and value stream mapping and train others. Conduct process analysis and trending using continuous improvement tools and techniques. Provide mechanisms to capture baseline data before and after improvements are made.
· Perform critical thinking and problem solving €“ evaluating alternatives, and identifies solutions using systematic, multi-step approaches.
· Define standard work for ongoing operations, training, communication and change management.
· Deliver moderately complex medium to large scale new process improvement projects from initiation through delivery
· Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedule; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
· Analyze problems, identify issues, summarize findings and recommend courses of actions.
· Once the solution or process optimization is implemented, monitors customer satisfaction and ROI.

Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree
· 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ technology or payments operations
· Experience developing, improving and implementing processes in large-scale, complex environments.
· Project management skills include collecting business requirements, reviewing specifications, analyzing cost/benefit of project selection, and communicating results throughout the organization
· Ability to handle responsibilities independently, while exercising good judgment in problem solving and keeping team members adequately informed.
· Excellent written and verbal skills as well as prioritization and planning skills €“ with strong attention to detail.
· Well-honed analytical skills (i.e. SQL), experience in working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment.
· Experience in or demonstrated ability to grow and develop people/teams with and without formal authority while earning trust with teams of all levels
· Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment.
· Experience facilitating to large groups.
· Demonstrated project management and/or kaizen facilitation experience at all levels of the organization.
· Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics.
· Experience in leading and developing direct reports.


Preferred Qualifications
· Master€™s degree (MBA, Math, Engineering, Science).
· Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
· Understanding knowledge of ecommerce, technology, payments and or customer service operations
· Advanced skills in statistical analyses.
