DIGITAL PRODUCTIVITY AND TRANSFORMATION LEAD


ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Productivity and Transformation Lead is part of the core leadership team for Citis Productivity organization. The key objectives of the Productivity and Transformation organization are to lead significant Transformation programs in partnership with Citis functional and business unit leadership; to develop Citis Productivity approaches and methods; to build transformational change capabilities across Citi; and to engage Citi employees at all levels in transformational change.

The Digital Productivity and Transformation Lead provides hands-on leadership and support to specific Citi Productivity projects and programs, and also provides oversight for all Productivity projects undertaken by the group that have a significant digital component. Productivity projects will vary in size, duration, and complexity; will have significant and measurable business value outcomes; and will be highly visible with executive-level sponsorship.

In addition to participating on Productivity and Transformation projects and programs, the Digital Productivity Lead serves as the thought and methodology leader relative to digital Productivity approaches and methods to be leveraged on all Productivity projects. Working with the Managing Director, Productivity and the Business Productivity Lead, the individual will co-lead development of Citis Productivity approach; train Productivity organization team members on the approach; and develop and evolve a knowledgebase to support all Productivity projects and teams across Citi.

The Digital Productivity and Transformation Lead reports directly to the Managing Director, Productivity. As the Productivity organization evolves and grows, the Digital Productivity Lead will directly manage a small and specialized team in addition to providing leadership to Engagement Managers and Analysts assigned to Digital Productivity projects.

The performance of the Digital Productivity and Transformation Lead will be measured by a combination of individual and team metrics including ROI for key Productivity projects and programs, stakeholder feedback, and contribution to thought and team leadership.

The successful candidate will leverage Citis Digital platform to configure people, process, and technology to build and use new software components in a plug and play manner to quickly bring value to the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with business stakeholders to identify business needs, validate pain points, and determine the high-level value proposition / business case for implementing innovative Digital solutions. Deploy techniques such as hypotheses development, data analysis / analytics, and business case development to establish near and long-term digital Productivity priorities. Conduct and incorporate research and competitive analysis as required.

Partner with business stakeholders to devise innovative solutions to address business pain points and value opportunities. Plan and conduct cross-functional working sessions to develop future state digital solutions. Conduct and incorporate leading practice assessments and benchmarking as required.

Leveraging change management approaches and methods, assess organization capacity and readiness for implementation of the digital solutions. Work with business leaders to establish a digital Productivity roadmap for the business area that identifies timing, key projects / initiatives, resources / teams, and change management approach. Partner with business leadership to onboard and influence key stakeholders to support the digital transformation plan.

Support Engagement Managers with the development of project plans and charters, establishment of Steering Team(s), and mobilization and launch of project teams to support launch of Digital Transformation projects. Train project teams on Digital Productivity approaches, methods, and tools.

Directly manage and develop a small team of direct reports and leverage a common Productivity Analyst pool to support ongoing development and delivery of Digital Productivity approach and methods, and evolve approaches and tools for broad application across Citi. Integrate Digital Productivity approach and methods with the Business Productivity approach and methods to develop an integrated Productivity Playbook for Citi.

Develop insights regarding Digital Productivity needs and value for Citi, and use these insights to create thought leadership media and events that inspire and engage Citi employees in Productivity.

Develop, in consultation with Citi Ventures, an approach to assess the productivity impact of new and emerging technologies and develop and lead implementation plans to drive successful adoption of the technologies.


QUALIFICATIONS:

15+ years of experience leading technology-enabled change projects / programs that crossed functional and business area siloes, and which incorporated process, technology, and organization change. Experience within the Financial Services or another regulated industry is preferred.

Proven capability to develop and adapt Digital Transformation approaches and methods and to lead and train others on the approaches and methods.

Proficient to expert knowledge of important IT digitalization concepts and emerging trends and experience working in partnership with IT / digital transformation leaders to integrate technology priorities and requirements into the development of holistic business models and solutions.

Demonstrated track record of positively impacting organizations and transitioning work, processes, and employees to higher value business models.

Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional project team and 3 5 direct report team members, including training team members on key digital transformation methods and approaches. Proven experience in coaching and developing direct reports and team members, and in providing quality control and oversight to a portfolio of projects.
