An exciting opportunity has become available to join **Boeing Poland** (Jeppesen, A Boeing Company) as an **AvionX Software Architect** based in Poland. **Candidates can work from our office in Gdansk or in hybrid or remote mode from home if preferred.**


On Saturday, 12 March 2022, the President of the Republic of Poland signed a law to assist citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict in that country. As part of this law, Ukrainian refugees in Poland benefit from access to the Polish labour market. Boeing welcomes applications from Ukrainian refugees who are seeking employment in Poland.

**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Define product architecture requirements and guide engineering teams,

+ Participate in estimation and planning sessions,

+ Contribute to the development and update of technical project documentation,

+ Contribute to DO-178C-certified software documentation,

+ Comply with the best engineering practices, software standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project,

+ Spot current deficiencies in the development process, adopted procedures, and engineering practices, environment configurations, etc., and suggest improvements,

+ Guide and support the software development team by performing design and code reviews, but also hands-on coding.


**Required Qualifications:**


+ 1 or more years of professional experience,

+ English proficiency.


**Preferred Qualifications:**


+ Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and codify knowledge and provide appropriate technical advice where required.

+ Experience in the architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms,

+ Programming experience (C/C++/Java)

+ Experience in architecture modeling (UML/SysML)

+ Knowledge of general design patterns and good coding practices,

+ Familiarity with software development for avionics systems/ or strong will to upgrade knowledge,

+ Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

**Important information regarding this requisition:** This requisition is for a locally hired position in POLAND. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll
